Nachum Gutman (Israeli, 1898–1978)
Guttmann's early work of the 1920s contains portraits and landscape descriptions of the Land of Israel and the city of Tel Aviv. Many of these landscapes depict figures of the Arab inhabitants, painted in light colors and mildly expressive, influenced by modern French art. In the 1960s, he specialized in creating mosaics. In addition, he began to create expressive figures in clay.
